See This 6-Wheeled 1977 Panther 6 Rolling Like a Boss
The average car has four wheels. There are two in the front and two in the back. Exceptions are rare, and if there is a different number of wheels then it's usually not a car. If there are more, then it's usually a truck and if less is usually a motorcycle, but not always. Take the 1977 Panther 6 which is a car that rolls around on six wheels, because more wheels are better...apparently. This convertible is powered by an 8.2-liter twin turbo V8 from Cadillac that produces over 600 horsepower. The Panther 6 has a top speed of 200 mph, which we'd really like to see put to the test. Someone please go make a video of this and share it with us right now. RELATED: See The 2014 Mercedes-Benz G63 AMG 6x6
We do have video of the car on display at 2015 Concorso d'Eleganza of Villa d'Este and it's amazing. It's also weird, especially when the automatic trunk lid slowly opens to reveal the engine. It's a little James Bond and it wouldn't surprise us at all to see the car spit out an oil slick or caltrops to fend off those who get too close. According to BangShift, there's also a television in the dash and even a telephone.

There were only two of these ever built by Panther Westwinds, which is really a shame because they're eccentric and undeniably cool. It's partly the 1970s styling but it's also the simple fact that it has six wheels. It's insane, but the world really should have more six-wheeled cars. Are you listening, Detroit? Make it so.
