This May Be The "World's Fastest Garden Shed"
Sheds. They sit in the corner of your yard, holding all the stuff you use to make that yard look good. There's probably a lawnmower in there along with some rakes and shovels, and maybe a snowblower for the winter to clear your driveway. This garden shed also has wheels and an engine and it's aiming for a speed record. It belongs to a guy named Kevin who lives in Oxfordshire, UK and it took him seen months to create this shed on wheels. He took his personal Volkswagen, surrounded it with a steel cage, and then built the wooden shed on top of that frame. Yes, it really drives and he even takes it out on the road to amuse the locals. It doesn't look particularly quick, but it can supposedly reach speeds of up to 80 mph. According to the BBC, it's also completely legal so no one's going to be pulling him over, unless they're looking to snap a quick picture. Kevin's goal is to break the current world record held by one Edd China. You know, the tall, lovable mechanic from Wheeler Dealer.
China set the Guinness World Record for fastest shed back on April 1, 2011 in Milan, Italy on the set of Lo Show Dei Record. His shed, named "Gone to Speed," hit a top speed of 58.4 mph. Kevin says his shed can get up to 80 mph so his chances look good for breaking the official record. Now, someone put this thing on a track against a Hellcat and we'll really see who's boss.
