Watch as Daredevil Felix Baumgartner Drifts a Helicopter
Once you’ve had a taste of adrenalin, you’ll never be able to go back to living a normal life. We know this from personal experience. Every time we get behind the wheel of something ridiculously fast, we never want to leave. It becomes an addiction, an addiction that tends to lead to bigger and crazier stunts. That seems especially true when it comes to longtime daredevil Felix Baumgartner. RELATED: Check Out a Completely Stock GT86
For those that don’t remember Felix, he’s the guy that climbed into a NASA-prepped pod, got lifted to the edge of space via weather balloons, then jumped out 24 miles above the Earth’s surface all while a slew of GoPro’s captured his entire descent. The man skydived from space, people. There is no coming back from that adrenalin rush, as Felix has just demonstrated.

With the help from Red Bull, and drifting legend Jakub Przygonski and his 1,000 plus horsepower Toyota GT86 drift car, Przygonski and Baumgartner decided to up the ante with their recent Red Bull Heli Drifting. Essentially, you take the 1,000 horsepower drift car, an open lot, and Felix flying a Helicopter, and combine them to make for what is a truly epic video.

The two vehicles are attempting to mimic each other’s movements, much like normal drifting competitions. Except this time, the follow car is actually a helicopter with one of the craziest human beings on the planet. According to Baumgartner, though, this might be an even more adrenalin packed adventure than his amazing skydive, “chasing a drift car with a helicopter is like juggling five blades while standing on a slackline.”
Difficult then, to say the least.
