Many automakers claim their owners take part in active lifestyles. But brands like Subaru and Mazda seem to have that more youthful buyer demographic dialed in. The latter is maybe trying to underscore that with this new video. Ross McGouran has probably done the ollie-into-railgrind conversion plenty of times in his career as a professional skateboarder, but we’d sure like to know how many times that rail was connected to a moving car? This video serves as a great reminder that at some point, skating becomes a sophisticated level of choreography. It also serves as a reminder to American buyers that we get an inferior version of Mazda’s smallest hatchback. You can either be bummed at the lack of the newest Mazda2 or be in awe of McGouran’s performance.
