600-HP Nissan Juke-R 2.0 Going Into Limited Production
At their very core, automakers are in the business of making money. Plain and simple. The best way to do that is to sell a very large number of the same of car, thus keeping production costs down, and profits up. As a result, low-run performance cars keep their place as unique and special, like the Nissan Juke-R 2.0, which will be getting a limited run of just 17 vehicles. While other automakers may be too timid to have fun these days these days, Nissan enjoys the occasional insane. The Murano-based CrossCabrio is a good example of that. Heck, it takes guts to make a car like the GT-R, let alone stuff the powerplant and drivetrain of one into an exceptionally quirky crossover like the Juke. This is the second round for the Juke-R, as evidenced by the “2.0” designation. It was first announced as a concept at this year’s Goodwood Festival of Speed. The revised high-performance crossover will have the same 3.8-liter twin-turbo V6 from the GT-R, packing 600 horsepower and 481 lb-ft of torque. The first run had a 0-60 mph time of just 3.7 seconds, and a top speed of 160 mph. We suspect the 2.0 can eek out a slightly faster sprint time.

Initial reports suggest that the production run will be limited to only 17 cars, though customer demand could influence the final number. The price of the Juke-R 2.0 is not known, but you can bet it will be more than the $590,000 price tag for the original run.
