The 2016 Mazda MX-5 Miata Already Got a Facelift
In the short time it’s been on sale, the all-new Mazda Miata has already found itself being named one of the most fun cars of the year. You’d be surprised then to hear that it’s already going through a minor facelift—or, at least one of them is. This is the first wrecked Mazda Miata, and it’s not a proud badge this car is wearing. The all-new Launch Edition Miata was picked up by a long time enthusiast and his wife at Tom Bush Mazda in Jacksonville, Florida only a few days ago. Less than a mile away from the dealership, the car was rear-ended by a Ford F-150, which left the brand-new Miata in a state of disrepair. Though, don’t worry, the driver and passenger were ok. After hearing the saddening news, Mazda North America reached out to the couple to inform them that their new MX-5 Miata would be on the way soon.
“Then, yesterday afternoon,” the owner explained, “I received two calls from MNAO informing me that my name was on a replacement LE 6MT that is in transit and will dock in Jacksonville around august 15.”
Good guy Mazda saves the day. Other automakers take note.
