BMW R80/7 Goes Hopping Mad With Poison Dart Frog Makeover
For being one of the smallest creatures on the planet, the poison dart frog is also one of the deadliest. Just a small amount of toxins can kill anything that dares come in its path—even a human. That same story can also be true of the BMW R80/7; it may look small and unassuming, but boy, does it pack a punch. So in the mind of custom motorcycle shop 2WheelsMiklos, combining the toughness of the poison dart frog with a bike that’s equally as rugged would be the perfect combination. And that’s exactly what they did with their latest creation. RELATED: See More of the BMW R80/7 With a Poison Dart Frog Makeover
They call it the “Purple Poison,” though, that brown and yellow poison dart frog paint scheme tells a different story. The bike itself is a restored 1978 BMW R80/7, and the paint job was mimicked from a South American frog species the Dendrobates Leucomelas.
Along with a full exterior makeover, the engine was completely reassembled and given a new pair of pod filters, a new lithium battery, and a revised wiring loom to make things as simple as possible. The bike also comes with a new hand-crafted seat, brake pads, front discs, rear shocks, rims, tires and mirrors.
