Knicks Draft Pick Kristaps Porzingis Loves 'Riding Dirty' in Audis
Last night was somewhat bittersweet for Latvian basketball stud Kristaps Porzingis. He was drafted No. 4 overall in the NBA draft by the New York Knickerbockers. Great news, right? His dream came true! He was lauded by Phil Jackson as the guy with the most potential upside. It should have been a fantastic moment, and it was ... for about 1.89 seconds. Immediately after Porzingis' name was announced, a rain of boos came down on NBA Commissioner Adam Silver and the lanky 19-year-old. With people like Willie Cauley-Stein, Emmanuel Mudiay, Stanley Johnson, and Justise Winslow still on the board, the perennialy depressed Knicks fans weren't pleased with the selection. But maybe they shouldn't be so quick to judge. RELATED: Watch Former NBA Star Gilbert Arenas Smash His Own Car With a Cinder Block
Judging by his Instagram, he seems like a pretty fun guy, not that that makes him a great basketball player or anything. One of the photos shows him with an Audi A6 with a caption that roughly translates to, "Thanks to Baltie for the car while I'm home." Baltie is a car dealership back in Latvia.
But that's not the best part. He also hashtagged "#TheySeeMeRollinTheyHatin" on the photo (maybe a bit of foreshadowing?), and it appears he loves the song "Ridin' Dirty" by Chamillionaire, as you can see him singing it in his car HERE.
