Starring The Stink
Top Gear as we knew it may be over, but that doesn't mean there are no more cars driving around its famous track. The Ferrari LaFerrari recently took a wet lap to set an official time and see if it could do better than the record-holding Pagani Huayra.
Since the Stig wasn't available, Chris Evans decided to have a little fun and put The Stink behind the wheel of the LaFerrari. Who is The Stink? His identity isn't a secret at all. Jason Plato, a guest on Evan's show TFI Friday, had the privilege of taking the car out on the track.
You'll see Evans back in the studio, along with Lewis Hamilton who has just finished this year's Gumball 3000. It's actually his LaFerrari that Plato is taking around the track so it makes a lot of sense that he was in the studio for the bit. The goal was to beat the Pagani, but the track was wet and posed a bit more of a challenge than hoped. Still, the LaFerrari does just fine with a 1 minute 14.2 second time that puts it just behind the Pagani's 1 minute 13.8 second time. He also only had 15 minutes of lap time in the car so you can just imagine what the Stig could do with his experience on the track.
