Those who are still mourning the loss of Top Gear as we knew it can take solace in this bit of news. The BBC has officially announced that they will be airing the last of season 22 and have even released a promotional trailer. Rather than airing individual episodes, they have instead combined footage from two unaired episodes into one that will be longer than usual. The date when we'll get to see this hasn't been announced, but the news is officially up on their website so it's definitely going to happen. RELATED: See Jeremy Clarkson's 11 Best Top Gear Moments
The first episode will feature the trio driving a Fiat 124 Spyder, Peugeot 304 Cabriolet, and MGB GGT as they live the life of classic car buffs. Breakdowns ensue and it all ends at a car show where you can imagine they mess everything up and cause their own special brand of chaos.
The second episode has them each purchasing an old SUV for £250 ($382) and taking them through ridiculous challenges. They drive a Jeep Cherokee, Vauxhall Frontera, and Mitsubishi Shogun Pinin on this journey that includes Stig's Leisure Activity Cousin. There appears to be a lot of mud involved in this one and no small amount of vehicle destruction. Basically, it's exactly what we've come to expect from Top Gear and it looks wonderful.
