This Humongous Lamborghini Gallardo Statue Is an Extremely Odd Celebratory Gift
In the words of the great Dave Chappelle/Rick James, "It's a celebration, b*tches!" The Russian soccer team FC Anzhi Makhachkala was recently promoted back into the Russian Premier League ranks after it was relegated to the National Football League following a horrific three-win performance in the 2013-2014 season. In honor of the return, beers were cracked, hugs were made, and... an enormous Lamborghini Gallardo statue was built. Because Lamborghini Gallardos are dope and it's Ita ... wait, this is Russia. Well, just because, it seems! The statue is reportedly going after a Guinness record standing proud outside Anji Arena at 82 feet long, 22 feet tall, and 36 feet wide. The model, which just looks like a mega kit, is pretty close to the actual car. Sure, the wheels aren't 100 percent accurate, and the striping isn't perfect (the Valentino Balboni has one wide stripe, and the Performante had two stripes but didn't flow all the way down the nose), but you gotta clap for 'em. The effort is excellent.
