Teen Poses As FBI Agent to Steal Dodge Charger; Things Go From Bad to Worse
File this under 'Nerves of Steel.' Actually, I’d use a different word than nerves, but we like to keep things PG here. A Michigan teen posed as an FBI agent and stole a 2015 Dodge Charger from a dealership...and then things got worse. According to the New York Daily News, he probably would have gotten away with it if he didn't crash it in Ohio. Now he’s got cops in two states filing charges against him. Odds are the FBI probably wants to sweat him a little bit, too. I assume it went down like this: the kid dials up the dealership and says, “I’m a G-man and I want to test drive a Dodge Charger. Official government business.” Honestly, I have no idea if that’s what he said, but it would be cool if he did. RELATED: See More of the 707-Horsepower Dodge Charger Hellcat
Anyway, the dealership has a program where it will meet the customer for a test drive, according to the Ann Arbor News. Kind of a nice feature, unless you’re meeting a faux FBI agent who speeds off to Toledo with your car.
Give the teenage Fox Mulder wannabee credit for playing his con until the end. After his Toledo accident he tried to convince the cops there he was an agent.
Sadly lacking is what kind of Charger he took for a spin. Here’s hoping he at least got his hands on a Charger Hellcat. After all, if you’re going to jail, make it worth your while.
