'Speed Racer' Harley-Davidson Looks Just Like The Mach 5
The Harley-Davidson Sportster is the company's best-selling and longest-running model, so you're bound to find them absolutely everywhere. You'll also find them with every imaginable conversion and customization. This one takes its cue from cartoons with a Speed Racer makeover that makes it look like the Mach 5. According to Silodrome, it was designed by JSK Custom Design. The front and back end of this Harley-Davidson are from a Ducati 916. What stands out most is all the custom metalwork. It was carved from wood and then carefully fitted before then being done in sheet metal. RELATED: Check Out Harley-Davidson's First Electric Motorcycle
Speed would definitely be happy to drive this thing in his off hours because it looks just like his precious Mach 5. There's a red and white color scheme with the overall lines matching the Mach 5 in 2-wheeled form.
It took over a year to complete this build, and once it was unveiled, the awards came in fast. It won Best Cafe Racer at the 2014 Born Free Motorcycle Show, Pro Builder 1st Place at the 2014 LA Motorcycle Calendar, and Best Cafe Racer at the 2014 VVMC Motorcycle Show. Unfortunately, it looks like the Mach 5 theme is purely aesthetic as it won't launch itself into the air, nor is it equipped with rotary saws. Go, Speed Racer, go!
