Listen as this 600HP Lancia Rally Car Unleashes its Ponies

It’s hard not to like a rally car. They’re loud, they’re obscenely quick, and they can do things some exotic supercars can only dream of. This one in particular is especially likable, as you’re soon to find out.  It’s a Lancia Delta Integrale Evo – a car bred to tackle world rally stages, in fact, Lancia took six straight constructors titles from behind the wheel of Deltas between 1987 to 1992. This Delta is still being campaigned by its owner, Italian rally ace Fulvio Giuliani, but it’s safe to say it’s a bit hotter than the original. Take a listen. That’s the sound of an alleged 600 horsepower being bludgeoned into the ground. The video, taken at a rally special stage in Northern Italy, shows Giuliani on full attack mode as he hauls his way through the course, every so often shooting off a spit of flame and a loud pop from the exhaust. It’s an intoxicating racket, eclipsed only by the sight of the hallowed Italian machine that creates it. Turn those speakers up.
