BMW is Working on a 3.0 CSL Homage Concept

BMW has released a teaser image of the upcoming 3.0 CSL Hommage Concept which is set to make its debut later this month. The full car will be revealed on May 22nd at the Concorso d'Eleganza Villa d'Este 2015 as one of two concepts that BMW will bring to the event. It is designed to be a modern interpretation of the original CSL 3.0 from the 1970s. Its styling is similar to that original, but cutting-edge materials used in the car's construction make it a thoroughly modern vehicle. Carbon fiber figures heavily in the design to keep the concept as lightweight as possible. It captures that retro 1970s vibe while still being a modern design, all finished in a bright yellow. The idea behind the 3.0 CSL Hommage concept is similar to both the BMW M1 Hommage and 328 Hommage Speedster that were unveiled in previous years at Villa d'Este. BMW promises an interior as equally modern and high-tech as this teaser of the exterior.
