Why Is Jeremy Clarkson Driving a New Corvette Z06?
In the wake of the infamous Top Gear ‘fracas’, Jeremy Clarkson has remained uncharacteristically silent on social media, but to the delight of his fans, one tweet sent on May 5 is breaking that silence… and in a big way. On Tuesday afternoon, Clarkson tweeted “I took this today…” along with a photo of a new C7 Chevrolet Corvette Z06 pictured at an empty track. The photo reveals a film crew in the background, followed by what appears to be a judges panel and a rather frigid Richard Hammond to the left. Jeremy Clarkson has previously confirmed that he will begin filming a new motoring television show. The question of the day/week/month remains: ‘could this be it?’ For fans of the Top Gear format, this is indeed "Good News!" He continues to write and review cars for the UK’s Sunday Times – it’s very possible this film shoot could be part of that series, but unconfirmed at present. Given Richard Hammond’s suspected appearance, the Twitter masses may indeed be correct. As for the next iteration of the actual Top Gear branded program, various reports claim the BBC is in talks with a new "dream team" of presenters, in the form of Jodie Kidd, motorcycle racer Guy Martin, and actor Philip Glenister.
