Dubai Driver Slapped With Massive Reckless Driving Fine

Dubai is a place where the police have access to supercars like Lamborghinis, Ferraris, and Mercedes (in addition to more mundane Toyota Land Cruisers). It’s a land of big money, big buildings, and apparently big traffic fines, as one reckless driver recently found out. Dubai police slapped a $139,000 fine on a 19-year old driver. Cops weren’t amused that he did his stunts and then posted them online for all the world to see on Instagram. The National also reported,  police recorded 3,355 incidents of reckless driving on the emirate’s roads during the first quarter of the year. There’s a lesson to be learned here. Don’t do doughnuts if you live in Dubai and post the hoonage on social media.
