Don’t Let This Lamborghini Fool You, It’s Really a Camaro Z28

In the world of custom-built cars, the Lamborghini replica is a popular choice. Many are Pontiac Fieros underneath, most are dreadful, but some – usually from afar – appear to be quite eye catching. This 2010 Lamborghini Murcielago LP640 would appear to be one of them.  Except it’s of course not a five-year-old Lamborghini Murcielago, rather it’s a 1995 Chevrolet Camaro Z28. It sports a 5.7-liter GM V8 instead of the typical 6.5-liter Lamborghini V12, and it’s currently up for sale or trade on eBay. Not sure if you’re into American muscle or Italian supercars? Now you can compromise. RELATED: Take a closer look at the stunning 2010 Murcielago LP640 The actual Murcielago was nothing short of a sensation when it debuted in 2001 to eager Lamborghini fans. Sant’Agata Bolognese’s flagship sports car marked the first new design under ownership from Audi and succeeded the epic Diablo with 571 horsepower upon its arrival. The price? Around $273,000 when new. Spanish for ‘bat’, the Murcielago grew even more aggressive when high-powered LP640, 650 and 670 variants arrived in its later years. It's a historic Lamborghini through and through. The replica has less heritage pulling for it, though the seller does note the kit car features new brakes, control arms, springs, wheels, leather interior, and headlights. Rather humorously, it’s said to be “100% complete” which is usually a good thing when you buy a car, especially one that’s “super fast” like this one is said to be. VIDEO: No way! This BMX rider used a Lamborghini Murcielago as a ramp The Chevy 5.7-liter LS V8 backs up to an automatic gearbox with 77,000 miles on the odometer, though it isn’t specified if those are driven-like-a-Camaro miles or driven-like-a-Lamborghini miles. There’s likely a difference. The price? An oddly specific $28,750. But if you do own an actual Lamborghini, perhaps some sort of trade is in order.
