Subaru BRZ STI Won’t Have a Turbo

Yesterday we were all pretty excited when STI President Yoshio Hirakawa confirmed there would be a BRZ STI in the next few years. Today, that excitement might die down a little bit when you hear that it won’t come with a turbo. The news comes from Subaru USA spokesman Michael McHale in a recent interview with Automotive News. Other features like an STI tuned suspension and even that giant wing could get the green light for production. But if you were hoping for a little extra boost under the hood, looks like you’re out of luck. No word on how much horsepower it will have from the naturally aspirated engine.
