Shelby Can Turn Your Ford Raptor into a 700HP Baja Monster

The Ford F-150 Raptor comes from the factory with 411 horsepower and 12 inches of rear suspension travel – more than enough for your daily run to the office and weekend trip to the cottage. But 'more' is of course always better, and Shelby American is certainly bringing more to the Raptor.  A lot more. Meet the Shelby Baja 700 – the furthest evolution of the furthest evolution of America's most popular truck. As its name suggests, the Baja 700 package comes with all the fixings to turn your Ford SVT Raptor into a Baja taming, 700-horsepower spewing, four-wheel drive monster. But if this tickles your fancy you ought to hurry, Shelby only plans to build 50 trucks. Shelby built a number of 575 horsepower Raptors back in 2013, and who could forget Hennessey's burly 500 and 650 horsepower VelociRaptors. For the time being, the Baja 700 will take top trumps over them all. Power comes from a Whipple supercharger, and brings with it a Borla exhaust, custom interior, new bumpers, a tuned off-road suspension from Rogue Racing, and a number of other modifications Given Shelby's reputation for delivering muscle car performance, all those bits ought to add up to one heck of a daily driver. But it will cost you. Shelby says each package will cost $45,000 – not including the donor Raptor, which can be any model year from 2011 to 2014.
