The Peugeot Le Bistrot du Lion is One Fancy Food Truck

Food trucks are normally pretty simple affairs that are mostly just glorified vans with all sorts of fancy paint jobs to get your attention and let you know what kind of food they serve. Peugeot has designed its Le Bistrot du Lion as something considerably fancier and it will have you rethinking the whole concept. It will be making its debut during Milan Design Week on April 14th and then moving on to the French Pavillion at the 2015 World's Fair, Expo Milan. This year's theme is "Feeding the Planet, Energy for Life" so the food truck concept fits in nicely. It's also a good tie-in for Peugeot who makes both vehicles and domestic objects like salt and pepper mills. There's enough room to feed 30 people at standing tables with little shades from the sun or rain. They can watch the chef make their food on a 46" screen and listen to the action through a sound system provided by Focal. There's also a mix table so that DJs can provide music. The truck has two grilling plates, four induction burners, a deep fryer, a 400-liter refrigerator for food, and a second 350-liter refrigerator for cold drinks. There's even a Rocket Espresso machine so you can enjoy a cup of coffee after your meal.
