Russell Westbrook Gave His All-Star MVP Kia Sorento To a Mother in Need

Does being a nice guy give players any extra push for the NBA MVP? No? Well, regardless, Oklahoma City Thunder superstar point guard Russell Westbrook should get some brownie points in everybody's eyes for giving a brand new car to a single mother who has been going through a rough time. After trouncing the field in the All-Star game with 41 points on 16-28 shooting, Westbrook was awarded the game's MVP award. Along with a trophy, the honor came with a brand new optioned-out Kia Sorento, the car that he gave to 19-year-old Kristen Gonzalez, mother to a four-year-old and a two-year-old. Gonzalez couldn't help but get emotional about the showing of good will. He also won the NBA Cares Community Assist Award back in October for his continued service throughout the community. Just another reason to love the guy who wears insanely patterned shirts and has essentially averaged a triple-double since the All-Star break.  RELATED: Kia Debuted LeBron’s Special Edition K900, and Nobody Noticed _____________________________________ Click Here to Read the Original Article on BoldRide
