2016 Cadillac CT6 Debuts Big With Lots of Luxury, New Technology

The 2016 Cadillac CT6 finally got its big reveal after months of waiting and slowly released details. It is slated to be the brand's new flagship and packs all the luxury you'd expect along with a huge list of new technologies. The car will get three engine variants including an all-new 3.0-liter twin turbo that will produce an estimated 400 horsepower and 400 lb-ft of torque. A 2.0-liter turbocharged I-4 and a 3.6-liter naturally aspirated V6 will also be available. All three will get new 8-speed automatic transmissions. RELATED: See More of the 2016 Cadillac CT6 It might look big, but it's surprisingly light weight due to its all-new Omega architecture which features 13 high-pressure aluminum casings in the body structure. Aluminum is used throughout the exterior giving it an estimated curb weight under 3,700 pounds. An available active chassis system with rear-wheel steering and magnetic ride control help provide a smooth, controlled ride to enhance its luxury appeal. There is technology and luxury galore with driver's getting 5-program massaging leather seats. Rear passengers have adjustable seating that is also heated and cooled and quad-zone climate control keeps everyone comfortable. There's a 34-speaker Bose audio system, streaming rearview mirror, and a 360-degree camera that covers the area around the vehicle. A surround-view recording system can even capture video while the car is driving and while the security system is activated.
