There’s a Mid-Engine Hyundai Veloster Running Around S. Korea

Mid. Engine. Veloster. Yes, that’s a real thing that I just said. The pictures you see here were snapped up by Blood Type Racing and preview something that hot hatchback enthusiasts would probably drool over, if it ever makes mass production. Information on the car is all but nonexistent, but from the shots you can see the hot hatch ditches the third door in place of a wide body kit and some aggressive looking vents. Not to mention bigger wheels and tires, a lower stance, and a subtly sharper front end. The hot hatch market it literally on fire right now with cars like the Focus RS, Golf R and others. So Hyundai might be looking to do some heating up of its own with a 300+hp Veloster. A mid-engine layout might be a bit of a stretch, though. As of right now, your guess is as good as mine. We reached out to Hyundai for comment.
