McLaren's 562HP Sports Car is Ready for New York

Ah, the Big Apple. What better place to debut a sexy new sports car than the 2015 New York Auto Show? McLaren is doing just that— it’s called the 570S, and it will be the marque’s smallest model, competing with the likes of the Porsche 911 and Jaguar F-Type. If you’ve already heard of it, I don’t blame you. McLaren has been teasing and touting this new sports coupe for the past few months. Using the official hashtag #BlackSwanMoments, it leads you to believe that this “black swan” will take the segment by storm. Pushing out more power than both the 911 and F-Type, the 570S should be the quickest in the segment, using a twin-turbo 3.8-liter V8. Even McLaren is eager to admit that it will have “class-leading levels of performance.” The 570S will be the first car in a trio dubbed the “Sports Series” in the McLaren lineup, and hopefully it looks as good as the rendering seen here. Though, we won’t know much more about the car or the rest of the lineup until it hits the New York Auto Show next week. So keep your eyes peeled.
