There’s only one way to improve the 2016 Lamborghini Aventador SV— chop the top off. That seems like a strong possibility if recent spy photos are to considered accurate. Cutting the roof off the Lamborghini Aventador SV apparently won’t make the convertible more powerful. At 740 horsepower, though, how much more power could it have any way? Want another reason a Lamborghini Aventador SV convertible would be a bold choice? The coupe is already the fastest production car Lamborghini has ever built. In addition to all that horsepower, it has 509 lb-ft of torque at 5,500 rpm. Hence its SV designation. That stands for superveloce in Italian. Literal translation would be super velocity (which would make a great name for a magazine). One need look no further than the 2013 Lamborghini Aventador LP700-4 Roadster for evidence of that. According to Top Speed, which provided the rendering at the top of this post, the future Aventador SV Spyder will feature the aggressive-looking apron incorporating both the splitter and massive air intakes seen on the coupe. The hood should be different and the massive rear wing will also disappear.
