It's more likely both cars are wrapped and not painted chrome.
Spring Training signals different things to different people. To some, it means that Major League Baseball is nearly back ('cause they're just so starved of baseball with 162 games). To others, it means an annual vacation to warm weather locations. To us, and fellow car enthusiasts alike, it means yearly exciting parking lot surprises like this ridiculous chrome Mercedes-Benz S-Class.
Spotted by Tigers beat writer Chris Iott at Joker Marchant Stadium in Lakeland, Fla., the Benz belongs to Detroit Tigers Pitcher Alfredon Simón, who went 15-10 this past season with the Cincinnati Reds before being traded. And he's not the only MLB player rolling chrome.
Now if we can only get our shortstop a Rawlings Gold Glove to put inside his car. pic.twitter.com/XTFScA1nLk — Mike Swanson (@Swanee54) March 3, 2015
Swanson, Vice President of Communications and Broadcasting for the Kansas City Royals, is referring to shortstop Alcides Escobar. That's his Range. Although there's no word either way, it's more likely both cars are wrapped and not painted chrome.
