The Mercedes G63 6x6 is Completely Sold Out

There are times in an automaker history that the presidents, VP’s, and bean counters take a vacation from doing the ordinary, and let the engineers loose to build, “whatever they want.” This usually results in cars like the Camaro Z/28, or better yet, the Mercedes-Benz AMG 6x6. The most insane off-roader known to man. With a total of six wheels, five differentials, three axles, enough ground clearance to cross the English Channel, and a 5.5-liter twin turbo V8, this 536 horsepower machine is about as outlandish and unpractical as one can get. Not to mention expensive. RELATED: See More of the Mercedes AMG G63 6x6 But even as outlandish as it is, there's still a market. So much so, in fact, that Mercedes officials have told potential buyers they're fresh out. According to GTSpirit, all 100 6x6s have already been accounted for, at a cost of $430,000 each brand new. A sad day for anyone looking to conquer some rough terrain. There is some good news: for those of you looking to cop one of the used market, they are popping up. But be ready to have your checkbooks ready, one in Florida was selling for a monstrous $1 million just a few weeks ago. It ain't cheap, but it is fun.
