Kia Sportspace Concept Proves Wagons Can Be Sexy

Kia knows how to build a practical and economical sedan, that much is known. Now, the automotive world is coming to grips with a new side of Kia – builder of scintillating concept cars.  Last year, the South Korean automaker showed up to the Detroit auto show with the striking GT4 Stinger; this year, Kia is heading to Geneva with this concept stunner – the 2015 Sportspace. Somehow, we doubt you'll hear many boos or hisses about this bombshell. RELATED: 2015 Kia Trail'ster Concept looks to out-tough the Jeep Renegade Designed at Kia's Frankfurt design studio, the Sportspace intends to offer drivers fast and comfortable travel in the tradition of grand touring. Being that Kia's tourer interpretation is in fact a wagon, that means there should be comfortable seating for four, and plenty of storage space in the boot. Apart from the obvious exterior styling cues – the aggressive tiger nose grille and long downward-sloping roofline – Kia has released no official details about the car, though some are pegging this design to foreshadow the next-generation Optima. A quick look inside might leave you hoping that sentiment rings true. The firm has adorned the dashboard with crisp aluminum inlays and what looks to be carbon fiber and gray leather. The center console, also trimmed in leather, features a pop-up infotainment screen and extends rather magnificently toward the rear of the car. RELATED: Take a closer look at the all-new Kia Sportspace Concept If the Sportspace does in fact herald a new Optima, only time will tell if a wagon variant makes the cut. If that does happen, it's not known whether it makes landfall in the US market. Need to see more? Check back on March 3 when Kia officially debuts the Sportspace concept at the 2015 Geneva Motor Show. _____________________________________ Click Here to Read the Original Article on BoldRide
