Here's What a Crazy Burnout Looks Like on an Infrared Camera

How do you make burnouts even cooler than they already are? By watching them behind the lens of an infrared camera. This footage comes from the Summer Nationals, or Summernats, Liqui Moly Burnout Masters in Australia. This is the same gathering where a Guinness world record was broken and set for simultaneous burnouts. This Holden one-ton ute, known as T4TUFF, has a 540-cubic-inch supercharged engine and is owned by Matthew Powers. Watch as the infrared camera sees right past the smoke and captures brilliant video of the tires transform from cold rubber to bubbly spitfire.
