Japan-Only Toyota 86 Cb Gets a More Refined Look

We love the Toyota GT86/Scion FR-S/Subaru BRZ. So much so, in fact, that two of us on staff own one. But for whatever reason, us American’s don’t get all the cool stuff that Japanese GT86 customers are getting. Like this. It’s called the Toyota 86 Style Cb, which stands for “Cool Beauty.” Questionable naming aside, the 86 Cb gets a retro look inspired by the Toyota 2000GT and other classic sports cars, with its new bubbly-eyed front fascia. RELATED: See More of the 2015 Toyota 86 Cb But it’s not only looks that separate this from its American cousin. The Cb drives smoother, and isn’t as harsh on the road. Though, it still uses a 2.0-liter boxer engine with 200-horsepower. But perhaps the most strange thing about this car is that, according to GTSpirit, it’s made specifically for women. What? The inside also gets slightly more refined, as does the rear, and the whole things gets subtly more beautiful. It’s interesting, to say the least. But in a good way. Maybe the next-gen FR-S can still some of these design cues. At least, one can hope.
