Cower in Fear! Koenigsegg Agera RS is Happening

Last year, Koenigsegg figuratively blew the roof off the 2014 Geneva Motor Show with its competition-annihilating Agera One:1 – the world's first “megacar” with 1,341 horsepower, a 273 mph top speed, and a true one-to-one power to weight ratio. What a machine.  A year has since passed and it appears the Swedes are at it again. On its Facebook page, Koenigsegg has revealed that a new Agera RS model will debut in Geneva for 2015. It'll undoubtedly pack more of a punch than the already bonkers Agera R... but just how much does that extra 'S' bring to the equation? We'll find out on March 5. RELATED: Watch this Koenigsegg Agera race a Porsche 918 to their top speeds So far, nothing is known about the clandestine supercar, but we're likely to see a significant evolution of the current 'R' model (seen above). It packs a twin-turbocharged 5.0-liter V8 that produces 1,140 horsepower and 885 lb-ft of torque. Zero to 200 mph takes just 17.68 seconds. Expect the 'RS' to slice a chunk out of that. Rumors began circulating after a newer Agera production mule crashed on the Nurburgring late last year. Potentially, this could be the spawn of that car. Regardless of its to-infinity-and-beyond specs, the Agera RS is certainly not alone in the top strata of the supercar world. There's the new Bugatti Chiron – rumored to produce 1,500 horsepower – as well as the Hennessey Venom F5 with a target 290 mph top speed, plus the obligatory McLaren P1, Ferrari LaFerrari, and Porsche 918 hybrid hypercars. Tough market. RELATED: Koenigsegg doesn't build motorcycles, but they should build this one ______________________________________ Click Here to Read the Original Article on BoldRide
