See How This Guy Turned a Kawasaki Ninja into a Snowblower
Uh oh, you've got a problem. You need to quickly plow a large area but can't afford to leave massive piles lying around... or injure your rig by ramming it headlong into the snow. What to do, what to do? Well, if you're a bit handy with tools, you could build your own tractor or truck-mounted snowblower. This guy did and it can really chuck some snow. YouTuber Mad Max retrofitted an older Toro snowblower to fit onto his Jeep Cherokee. Since it was a custom job he added a special powerplant to boot – a Kawasaki Ninja engine. The truck-mounted snowblower is certainly nothing new. You can buy a few similar purpose-built blowers online, but most of the smaller applications boast double digit horsepower and nearly all cost thousands and thousands of dollars. The 900cc Kawasaki engine churns out 140 horsepower, meaning all of the snow here can be relegated to somewhere far, far over there. It also costs a heck of a lot less if you have one lying around.
While the Northeast prepares for another wave of snowfall, maybe it's time to cut up your old Ninja and turn it into a snowblower.
