Watch Ken Block Hoon the 2016 Ford Focus RS
Just a few weeks ago, the Blue Oval flung the covers off an all-new Ford GT, a car that captivated the Internet and practically shut out its Acura NSX rival. Well, Ford is doing it again with its all-new, all-wheel-drive, and all-Internet conquering 2016 Focus RS...and Ken Block has been driving one. As usual, the hoonigan works his magic and pushes the RS into all sorts of high speed drifts, powerslides, and four-wheeled mischief, negotiating the tight corridors of Ford's production facility in Cologne, Germany. If there were a fatal flaw, we can presume he would have found it after this. RELATED: Check out Ken Block's 845 horsepower Mustang RTR
The last Focus RS toted a potent five-cylinder engine, good enough for 300 horsepower and plenty of enthusiastic driving. The new version drops a cylinder, adopts the turbocharged 2.3-liter EcoBoost engine from the Ford Mustang, and puts “at least” 315 rampaging horsepowers to the ground. And happily, this one will actually make it to US shores. Be prepared to spend liberally on backup sets of tires.
