The Porsche Cayman GT4 Is the Complete Mid-Engined Package

Sometimes it's the little wins that matter most. In this case, that win is the fact that the 2016 Porsche Cayman GT4 is here, and it has a manual gearbox. The PDK will not even be offered as an option. As the first GT sports car based on the Cayman, it features plenty of pieces from the 911 GT3, and it looks like everything you'd want for a fun day at the track (and for much less than the 911). The mid-positioned powerplant in the Cayman GT4 is a 3.8L flat-six pulled from the 911 Carrera S that produces 385 horsepower. That gives this car a 0-60 time of 4.2 seconds, it has a top speed of 183 mph, and it recorded a north loop Nurburgring lap time of seven minutes and 40 seconds. But the engine isn't the only thing that put those numbers on the board. PHOTOS: See more of the 2016 Porsche Cayman GT4 As is obvious, this spec of the Cayman also has a plenty of advanced aero. The three intakes up front combine with the large rear wing to create more downforce. It also has lightweight carbon seats, 20-inch wheels, ceramic composite brakes, and it's been lowered 30 mm. The Cayman GT4 will debut at the Geneva International Motor Show and will hit dealers in July with a starting price at $84,600.
