Buy a VW Bus Limo for $220K; Get the Company for Free

It seems there's no vehicle that can't be somehow turned into a limo, with this Volkswagen Type 2 being the latest to get a little stretch. The finished vehicle is just beautiful, but it's commanding a very high price at $220,000. That seems a bit outrageous, but turns out when you buy this VW limo, you're also getting the company that currently owns it. The vehicle has 33 windows, a ragtop roof, and enough room for 12 passengers. It was made by a VW-only restoration shop in Southern California and took two years to build. It's only been on the road for about three months so it's got just 1600 miles on the odometer. He oversaw the build, which added in things to make it more comfortable for passengers like extra sound-deadening material and a high-end stereo system. There's also lots of rust-proofing as he expected this thing to have a long life ferrying people around Maui. Unfortunately, he is having to leave Maui so he's parting not just with the Type 2, but with his entire business. You buy the limo and you get the business as a little bonus. The eBay listing says he's open to inquiries for just the limo if you're not looking to get into the limo business.
