Flashy Mopar Jeep Renegades Ready for Detroit Debut

The Detroit Auto Show kicks off tomorrow. Among the many things to feast your eyes upon will be two Mopar versions of Jeep's newest and surprisingly capable SUV, the Renegade. Similar in treatment but different in concept, the two guises of the Mopar Jeep Renegade will be the "Off-Road Mopar-equipped Jeep Renegade" and the "Urban Mopar-equipped Jeep Renegade." It's easy to tell which one is which, as the Off-Road version is is appropriately painted green and has a gigantic roof rack, while the Urban version is grey with orange accents on the grille, wheels, mirrors, roof and taillights. In addition to the outdoorsy look on the outside, the interior has been done up with green, gray and black accents, and high-quality leather seats from California-based Katzkin. The exterior has a few interesting styling elements, including a hood graphic with a map of Detroit. Which is odd considering it's not an off-road hotspot. The Urban version, meanwhile, is based on the Limited 4x4 model and features even more orange accents throughout the interior, Katzkin leather and a bike rack that mounts on the trailer hitch. As you'd expect from display cars like these, they aren't likely to be available to buy exactly as such, but are instead meant to showcase what Mopar can do with a little SUV like the Renegade.
