Watch this Twin-Turbo Barracuda Post a 6.58 Second Pass

In 1968, Plymouth debuted its 340ci V8 as an option underneath the hood of the Barracuda. With its lightweight (lighter than the 383ci) and a punchy 340 lb-ft of torque, it made for an impressive muscle car combination. This 1969 Plymouth drag car looks impressively fast too, though don't let its stylized 340 decals fool you. There's nothing remotely stock about this brute.  The video comes from the recent Street Car Super Nationals (via Bangshift) held at Las Vegas Motor Speedway, where driver Dean Branham of Go Green Racing repeatedly launched his '69 through the quarter mile in the mid six second range. A quick look under his hood explains why. Turn those speakers up. RELATED: Check out more photos of the 1969 Plymouth Barracuda
Branham's Barracuda packs a massive 526ci V8 running on alcohol and sporting a pair of giant turbochargers. On its first video run, the Sub Lime Plymouth flew through the quarter mile in 6.61 seconds. He later eclipsed that run with a 6.58 second pass at 212mph. Yeah, that's what you'd call fast.
