Exclusive Audi RS6 Avant is Frigidly Cool
The Audi RS6 Avant, across each of its generations, has always been a burly-chested man's car that just so happens to also offer wagon practicality. Then again, it's hard for anything toting a high-powered V8 or V10 not to be considered such.
The latest RS6 iteration is no different, and Audi's bespoke customization department (Audi Exclusive) has proven that with this breathtaking one-off Avant in matte gray, absolutely dripping with 'cool'.
The car's lustrous features bestow a feeling not of something bolted, pressed, and pieced together, but rather forged from a solid block of metal – an appearance striking enough to give you goosebumps. The RS6's exterior comes adorned with various dark carbon fiber elements (front and rear splitters, in the fascia, and on the door mirrors), as well as a set of crisp black alloy wheels.
The midnight theme continues inside as well. Black leather adorns the seats, surrounded by swathes of more carbon fiber, dark interior elements, and all pulled together with vibrant yellow stitching. We've made the “Darth Vader, here is your car” reference before, but never has it quite made so much sense.
Underneath the uber-cool looks, the exclusive RS6 Avant still packs its raucous twin-turbocharged 4.0-liter V8, tuned to a formidable 560 horsepower and 516 lb-ft of torque. Power is ushered through an eight-speed ZF automatic and Audi's ubiquitous quattro all-wheel-drive system, prompting acceleration from zero to 60mph in a swift 3.9 second, and all the way up to a top speed of 189 mph.
If you're reading this stateside, drool all you want – it's still out of our reach. If you're reading from Europe, understand that we're quite jealous.
