See Daredevil Jetman Take Human Flight to New Levels
There’s amazing footage out of Dubai that looks like a movie stunt - but isn’t. An ex-fighter pilot has released film of his Jetman aerobatic formation flight - and you’re not going to believe how cool it looks. Yves Rossy, also known as Jetman, is back in the sky pushing the boundaries of aviation by completing a sensational formation flight with aerobatics champion Veres Zoltán in Dubai. If this catches on, hypercars could be obsolete. RELATED: NASA and its Awesome Chase Vehicles
Rossy is a Swiss ex-fighter pilot, (Switzerland needs an air force?) Guinness Book record holder and first man to fly with a jet-propelled wing. He jumped out of a helicopter for his latest amazing stunt.
According to DailyDot.com, “Rossy describes the 55 kg carbon fiber ‘wing’ as ‘the culmination of decades of fulfilling a childhood dream through technological innovation, determination, teamwork and courage.’ The powered wing allows Rossy to fly like a bird at speeds of up to 120 miles per hour with the assistance of four Jet-Cat P200 jet engines, modified from kerosene-fueled model aircraft engines."
