Among the many urban SUVs in the segment, the Renault Captur is one of the favourites in the UK. So much so that it is leaving the Clio in the background.

Last April, we got to know the current restyling and in June, we gave you the prices of the range, which now start at £21,095 with the 90 PS TCe petrol engine (non-electrified) and the Evolution trim.

2026 Renault Captur, futuristic look and feel

But we don't want to talk about the present, we want to talk about the future. That's why we've taken a look at an attractive digital rendering by Kleber Silva to guess what the new 2026 Renault Captur could look like.

At this point, we should explain that the rendering was intended to show what the 2024 model year would look like, but we found it so futuristic that it could very well anticipate the next generation of the urban SUV.

That said, do you like the computer-generated car? We think it's a very successful evolution of the current model and, if it were to become a reality, it would surely meet with the approval of many customers. In short, Renault should take Silva's creation into account.

An electric Captur

As for what we expect from the new 2026 Captur, it is logical that it should not grow too much, as it has the Symbioz and the Austral above it. Also, the E-Tech full hybrid powertrains should gain even more prominence, as should the TCe engines with light hybridisation.

What do you think?

Will there also be an electric Captur? Logic says yes, and Renault has more than enough to develop it, such as the CMF-EV platform, the 120 PS and 150 PS engines of the R4 and R5 E-Tech, or the batteries of the Megane E-Tech or Scenic.
