10 Car of the Year Awards from Around the Internet
Car of the Year awards are like opinions (and an orifice we can’t mention) — every organization has one. It’s really surprising how much they can vary. Of course, our very own 'Bold Ride of the Year' award was chosen by our readers. For that reason, no other car can supplant the 2015 Dodge Charger SRT Hellcat. Yet, other websites and publications try. Click on the links above each photo to see their reasoning. Dodge Charger Hellcat: Bold Ride of the Year
Hooray! Thanks to everyone that voted, the Dodge Charger was definitely our boldest ride of 2014.
Chevy Colorado: Motor Trend Truck of the Year
Newsworthy largely because the all-aluminum F-150 came in third place behind the Ford Transit. Interesting.
BMW i8: Top Gear Car of the Year
Not just the EV of the year, but the best car of 2014.
Ferrari 458 Speciale: Evo Car of the Year
Tough to argue against any Ferrari, especially one that's this Speciale.
Volkswagen Golf: Motor Trend Car of the Year
Volkswagen needs a win, and the Golf could be the car to help the brand.
Mercedes-Benz S-Class: Women’s World Car of the Year
Can’t fault this international panel for lapping up the luxury.
BMW i3: Green Car of the Year
For when you can’t afford an i8 but still want an “i” in your garage.
Subaru WRX: BBC's Most Fascinating Sports Car
Looks like our favorite four-door sports car is resonating across the pond.
Ford Mustang: Esquire Car of the Year
Unlike the magazine’s taste in clothes, it’s hailed the Mustang as functional and affordable. The magazine also picked a truck of the year because cowboys read men’s lifestyle magazines.
Toyota Highlander: Hybrid Green Fleet Vehicle of the Year
We include this just because you didn’t know such an award existed. We’re not quite sure why either.
