New MG ZS: Interior in detail
The new ZS changes a lot both outside and inside. Here are the main new features in terms of technology and interior.
The new MG ZS marks an important step in the evolution of the Anglo-Chinese brand. The C-segment SUV has grown in several respects, from size to on-board technology, while maintaining a competitive price and very comprehensive equipment. Let's focus mainly on the interior to try to understand all the new features on board the ZS.
Dashboard
A large part of the ZS's changes concerns the structure of the dashboard, which now integrates a 12.3-inch infotainment display. It's a rather intuitive and graphically simple system, which also allows you to control climate control and Apple CarPlay and Android Auto functionality (via cable only).
Also standard is the 7.0-inch digital instrument cluster, which displays driving information and various driver assistance systems, but not navigation maps. It's just a pity that the steering wheel can only be adjusted in height and that the cabin lacks wireless smartphone charging, two elements present in the vast majority of new models.
Materials and finish
Despite the competitive price, the upholstery on the MG is decent. The upper part of the cabin also features soft surfaces, while the workmanship on the central tunnel and the air vents (which look like aluminium) conveys a sense of attention to detail, especially in terms of design.
Roominess and luggage compartment
Space is plentiful aboard the ZS for both front and rear passengers. The centre tunnel is not particularly pronounced, so even the fifth passenger travels comfortably. In addition, there are rear air conditioning vents and an A-type USB socket.
MG ZS, the rear seats
The tailgate is not electrically operated, while the boot has a minimum capacity of 443 litres, which is average for the category.
