Lexus has renewed much of its range in 2024, with the debut of the small LBX and the revamped UX, also available in electric form.

Considering all these important innovations presented in the year that is drawing to a close, for 2025 the Japanese premium carmaker of the Toyota Group plans to update only one important model: the ES saloon, which in the meantime has already made its debut on the Chinese market.

Information about the European version of the new Lexus ES for 2025 is still rather scarce. What is certain, however, is that it should be a mid-cycle refresh of the current generation - presented in 2018 under the code name ZX10 - inspired largely by the version that has already debuted in China, photos of which you can see in this article.

With an unchanged platform compared to the current version on the market, it is still a front-wheel drive saloon, ready to accommodate the efficient full hybrid and plug-in hybrid powertrains that the company has unveiled in recent years.

Judging by the Chinese version, the restyling of the ES for Europe will probably feature an updated cabin that is even more technologically advanced than the current one, combined with an exterior design that has been slightly revised in several details such as the headlights: now with sharper lines and inspired by the IS and LBX.

What do you think?

But that's not all. Although there are no specific details on the matter yet, in addition to this and speaking of powertrain, the updated Lexus saloon could also become the company's first 100 per cent electric saloon. It is believed this vehicle will be equipped with a new powertrain designed from other zero-emission cars produced by the company such as the UX.

The debut of the 2025 ES on the Old Continent is scheduled for the last quarter of next year, so more information on this is still months away.
