Lamborghini Huracan Twin Turbo Kit Has Lots of Horsepower
The current crop of high-performance automobiles puts out some serious and sometimes downright scary power figures. As always, though, there's a certain people who just have to have more horses. For them there are companies like Lingenfelter, Hennessey or Underground Racing, the Charlotte-based tuners who have made a name for themselves turbocharging cars like Audi R8s and Ferraris. One of their more popular kits is for the Lamborghini Gallardo. But since that car has been replaced, it's only natural that Underground Racing turn to the new Huracan twin turbo. Billed as the world's first twin-turbo kit for the Huracan, the new system has completed preliminary testing and will go on sale soon. RELATED: See Pictures of the 2015 Lamborghini Huracan
The Huracan twin turbo will be first available as a bolt-on system, and Underground Racing claims that the preceding stages are already being worked on. No actual figures have been revealed as to what kind of performance the system puts out, but Underground Racing's twin turbo Gallardos were making anywhere from 700 to 1,750 horsepower depending on tuning stages and engine modifications. So it looks like we can expect absolute insanity.
It's hard to imagine that one wouldn't be satisfied with the 610 horsepower, all-wheel drive and 3.2-second 0-60 time offered by the Huracan from the factory, but there are plenty of people who want extra. And it's these people we have to thank for the absurd cars like this Huracan twin turbo.
