First Corvette Z06 Crash Going To Leave a Mark
Corvette fans, this might be a little hard to handle, but it had to happen eventually. Here's what is believed to be the first crash of a new 2015 Chevrolet Corvette Z06. Despite how bad things look, the one good thing is that no one was hurt. It happened on a Michigan highway over the weekend when the roads were wet. That should serve as a handy reminder that we should all ease up on that gas pedal when it rains. These pictures were snapped after the fact along the side of I-94 where the accident took place. According to CarBuzz, the driver of the Z06 convertible lost control on the wet pavement and hit another car before sliding off the road and into the wire barrier along the median. That wire sliced and diced the Corvette pretty good, showing us way more of the car's innards than anyone ever needs to see.
This particular Corvette was also fitted with a Z07 Performance Pack, but there's probably no owner crying over the loss. You'll notice it has manufacturer plates so this couldn't have been a customer's car. Still, wouldn't you hate to be the guy who was behind the wheel when this happened?
