Meet the Sporty Rolls-Royce Coupe of Your Dreams
Rolls-Royce has never shown any interest in creating a sports coupe, nor does it plan to. But that didn't stop artist Aldo Schurmann from coming up with his own renderings. He calls it the Phantasm, and it has all the luxury looks of the brand paired with a much sportier appearance than any Rolls-Royce you'll see on the road today. Of all the Rolls-Royce models out there, the one that's the most sporty of the lot at the moment is the Wraith that was designed by Pavle Trpinac. It has a V12 engine with 624 horsepower and 590 lb-ft of torque paired to an eight-speed automatic transmission. It's no slouch, but it's no sports coupe either. This rendering is entirely different than the Wraith when it comes to looks with that signature Rolls-Royce grille swapped for something much lower and leaner that looks like it belongs on the front of an Aston Martin. The whole thing has a very Aston vibe, but the Spirit of Ecstasy hood ornament lets you know that what you're looking at is still a Rolls.
As for what's under that hood, let your imagination run wild. Just what would they put in a sports coupe to make the 624 horsepower of the Wraith look mild in comparison?
