Ford Shows Off Two Supercharged SEMA Mustangs
The Specialty Equipment Manufacturers Association (SEMA) show in Las Vegas is happening soon, and Ford has released info on the modified Mustangs it’s bringing to Sin City. Ford says it will bring over a dozen Mustangs, but only two have been shown thus far. One is from Galpin Auto Sports and it comes with a gold-flecked black paint job meant to honor the 50th anniversary of the Mustang. It also packs a 725-horsepower supercharged 5.0-liter V8 under the hood. RELATED: See photos of the 2012 Ford Mustang Shelby GT500 Galpin Wide Body
The other car comes from Petty’s Garage— yes, that Petty. This ‘Stang will be decked out in a blue paint job that matches what Richard Petty’s stock cars wore and have the number 42 subtly added on. Underhood will be a Roush V8 that’s supercharged and makes an unknown amount of power. Eventually, the car will be auctioned off at Barrett-Jackson, with proceeds going to charity.

Ford should be releasing more details on other SEMA shows cars soon. Expect to see hopped-up versions of the EcoBoost Mustang, as well as cars from Roush and Steeda.
