Try Not to Drool Over This Custom 1979 Duntov Turbo Corvette
Corvettes are highly collectible cars, and this one-of-a-kind 1979 Duntov Turbo Corvette is something that will likely have collectors drooling as they reach for their wallets. The car was recently up for sale on eBay Motors and there's quite a story behind its creation. It begins with one Bob Schuller, owner of American Custom Industries, who once worked with the founder of Greenwood Corvettes, John Greenwood. When Schuller went out on his own, he teamed up with Zora Arkus-Dontov and the two produced a limited number of modified Corvettes as part of the Duntov Turbo Series. Their plan called for 200 cars, but only 32 were made with this one being number 24 in the limited series. It has a Rayjay turbocharged L48 350 V8 and all sorts of custom touches like digital gauges, a rear spoiler, Epsilon modular wheels, a custom convertible conversion, and a modified widebody treatment.
Even the color is special as most of the Duntov Turbos were supposedly painted white and red where this one is nothing but black. It's got less than 10,000 miles on it, but is definitely in need of some work. With a good restoration though, this would be an absolute stunner.

This was up on eBay Motors with a starting bid of $20K, but it has since ended without a buyer, so if you really want this car, you may still have a chance.
