McLaren P1 vs Porsche 918 vs Ducati Drag Race — Who Wins?
This supercar mashup goes beyond just supercars, as you can see here when a McLaren P1, Porsche 918 Spyder, and Ducati 1199 Superleggera bike took to the drag strip. You're probably thinking that the McLaren and Porsche seem like good choices for this race with the bike being something of an odd man out, and you'd be right, since they couldn't get their first choice to round out the trio. What they wanted to have on the track was the epic LaFerrari, but when the automaker declined to participate, they were forced to find something different. What they found was an alternate fast Italian vehicle that made the cut despite being very different. The Ducati 1199 Superleggera is a limited production bike with far less horsepower than its four-wheeled competitors. But it's also got significantly less weight to move. The McLaren comes to the table with 875 horsepower which the Porsche bests with its 903 horsepower. The Ducati is, well, "over 200" which puts it way, way behind the other two. Is this really a two-man race that was over before it even started?
Actually, no. The whole thing ends up a lot closer than anyone would have guessed. But you'll have to watch the video to find out for yourself.
